Bounce – The Home of Ping Pong

Bounce Interiors-47

HM’s Tunde checks out the ping pong action at Holborn’s hot spot Bounce.

Welcome to Holborn, the home of London's hot and happening ping-pong bar Bounce. I'd actually heard very little about it up until now, which is quite surprising given the bubbly, social atmosphere of the venue. Located on the high road, it's a great place to go for a few drinks after work with your colleagues, friends or even a hot date - but be sure to let her win guys icon wink Bounce The Home of Ping Pong

Designed by award winning, British interior designer Russell Sage, this cool and funky venue features 17 ping pong tables, a restaurant and cocktail bar over two floors. Other hot features include two London 2012 Olympic tables and a private playing area, so you can take your game to the next level!

The staff are great, in particular Mr Jermaine who was more than hospitable and even persuaded us to be guinea pigs for their new product, Bounce TV! The concept is to play a televised game of table tennis, which is sent to you by email after. The bar has a number of large screens, so you're sure to get your 15 minutes of fame. For those of you who are up for a laugh, this service is a sure winner - especially once you've had a cocktail or two, which you can take with you to your ping pong table might I add.

I know you're probably thinking, what happens if I run out of ping-pong balls? Fear not because Bounce’s helpful staff are at hand to ensure you're in constant supply, which is perfect if your service game is anything like mine!

With so much high-flying table tennis action, being hit by a ping-pong ball is an eventuality. Fear not as they are light in weight, plus it all adds to the thrill of your Bounce experience.

If you’re looking for an alternative evening out, then Bounce provides the perfect setting for socialising. The buzzing atmosphere coupled with table tennis action and good company make the perfect ingredients for a great night out!

One of the highlights of my evening was witnessing the magical act of illusionist extraordinaire Leon Thompson. At 18 years old, I have no doubt you'll be seeing him on your TV screens sometime soon. Remember you heard it here first. Not only will he bamboozle your mind with outrageous card tricks, he will actually annihilate you at table tennis too! Leon is an England international table tennis player, so there was no way I was going to play him on Bounce TV. I'd rather sit back and watch him embarrass someone else.

If all those trick shots make you hungry, Bounce has a great food menu that caters for all. Which means you can eat, drink, dance and play ping-pong to your heart's content.

If you’re looking for an alternative evening out, then Bounce provides the perfect setting for socialising. The buzzing atmosphere coupled with table tennis action and good company make the perfect ingredients for a great night out!
