Chimney Records

Star rating: ★★★

David Hayle and Jordan McClure have formed record label Chimney Records. Following the amazing ‘Chill Spot Riddim’ earlier this year they

have returned with the ‘Money Box Riddim’. Its what I call real Dancehall the harsh orchestral stabs, gritty synthesizers and brutal bass are exactly what’s required. All ten cuts to this one riddim album are strong and have clean and raw edits available but without a doubt Mavado’s ‘Box of Money’ steals the limelight. The lyrical content is captivating and Mavado rides this riddim to absolute perfection. Konshens continues his steady rise to the top with a cut called ‘From Yuh see Me’ and Aidonia maintains his status with ‘Kush inna Mi Brain’. The album also features Einstein, Deablo, Chase Cross, 3 Star, Gyptian, Munga, Chi Ching, Supa Hype, Elephant Man, Zagga and Serani. Dancehall fans download this album from iTunes today.
