Eithne Horner’s Pop Up Store
Fabulous fashionista boutique Milletre once again played host to the latest in fashion trends..... the pop up store.
This time it was the turn of creative milliner Eithne Horner's new hat collection which debuted there from November 16th to 30th.
Eithne Horner is the brainchild and creation of Eithne Horner who held a longtime belief that she had a creative side to her personality waiting to be explored. In a moment of madness combined with great timing, she decided to cut her ties to the corporate world and pursue her artistic calling. Initially she considered becoming a sculptor to develop her fascination and appreciation for 3D form and its tactile nature. However, divine intervention prevailed and she decided to combine this fascination with her strong intuition for style and love of fashion to learn to make hats. It only took her a short time to become passionate about the craft of hat making. Adhering to traditional techniques, Eithne trained with world- renowned teacher Rose Cory, milliner by royal appointment to the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. This provided Eithne with the foundation and nurturing which allowed her to pursue her love and desire to perfect shape and form to complement any outfit.
The new 2012 collection was inspired by 1950’s fashion photography, actress Katherine Hepburn, as well as VOGUE magazines spanning all decades. The line includes fur felts in autumn's rich muted tones of red, gold and brown.
Eithne Horner's signature style is 'understated elegance', adhering to the less is more philosophy. Designing with this style mantra in mind, Eithne's collection achieves the perfect balance between great shape and devotion to detail. Favouring natural lines over lavish embellishments, Eithne distinguishes herself from other milliners, with key elements of the collection focused on modest and structured trimmings. The result is sexy and tasteful - a modern interpretation of classic lines.
Eithne's hats are the perfect finishing touch for any fashion maven wishing to look their best during the cold weather months.
